New Jersey has been one of the states hit hardest by the coronavirus outbreak, though things are continuing to trend in the right direction.

Gov. Murphy announced on Friday several steps that would be taken toward reopening the state over the next several weeks, though the daily death numbers remain in the triple digits, as another 131 deaths and 1,117 positive tests were announced Friday.

Those numbers brought the state’s totals to 11,531 deaths and 158,844 cases overall.
